NationWide launches its Bellandur neighbourhood clinic

Bangalore-based primary clinic chain, NationWide Primary Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd (NationWide), today launched its newest community-centred clinic at the Green Glen Layout in Bellandur. The clinic is spread over 1000 sq. ft. and equipped with four consultation rooms, including one procedure room and a lab facility to service every day medical care for the residents in this rapidly growing suburb. The clinic offers the complete range of primary care services, including family physician and paediatric consultations, senior citizen care, home visits, vaccination services and lab tests.

Mr S. Giridhar, Registrar & COO, Azim Premji University inaugurated the clinic by cutting the ribbon. Mr R. Natrajan, Managing Director & CFO, Helion Ventures and Mr Sanjay Palsamudram, COO, Smartplay & President, Adarsh Palm Retreat, lighted the ceremonial lamp.

Mohan Kumar is Executive Director at Norwest Venture Partners, India, and he brings in extensive operational, technology and investment experience, having worked at leading global organizations in various senior positions and personally investing in technology start-up companies. Mohan is based in NVP India’s Bengaluru office and serves as an advisor on investments in next-generation technologies, Healthcare and Education. Mohan advised NVP’s investments in Borqs, iProf, Manthan Systems, NationWide Primary Healthcare Services, and Perfint Healthcare.

Prior to joining NVP India, Mohan served as Corporate Vice President of Mobile Devices Software at Motorola where he was instrumental in creating mobile platform middleware, user interface technology and applications across 3GSM, CDMA and WiFi / WiMax mobile phones.

Mohan has also been an angel investor and is active in helping start-up companies in the areas of mobile solutions, content and applications, namely Allgo Systems, Azingo, Quantum, SpaceTime and Mitoken.

Having worked in various vice president roles at Motorola, Mohan played an integral role in setting up design centers in Asia and Europe. He was responsible for Software and Telecom products in the ASIAPAC region with annual revenues of more than US$2 billion. During his tenure there, Mohan was responsible for the design centers achieving the highest quality level in software engineering (SEI Level 5), the first organization in the world to obtain this quality level. He also built strong relationships with VAS providers in ASIAPAC, and helped them develop various premium paid services. Mohan also successfully developed and launched mobile phone models for the European/ASIAN market.

Prior to serving in multiple senior roles at Motorola, Mohan worked with Texas Instruments as a technical architect on DSP Technologies and helped set up Texas Instruments’ business unit in Bangalore.

Mohan holds a B.Tech degree in electronics & communication engineering from Institute of Technology, Benares, India. Later he took part in the Leadership/Management Program at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago.

NationWide Organizes Unique Customer Connect Initiative Called “Whitefield Health Assembly”

A first-of-its-kind public-private primary healthcare initiative was organised by the pioneering primary healthcare chain NationWide today. The “Whitefield Health Assembly” held at the Savannah Sinclairs Hotel in Whitefield, Bangalore was inaugurated by Shri Aravind Limbavali, the Honourable Minister for Health & Family Welfare in the Karnataka Government, and presided over by Dr Santanu Chattopadhyay, Founder & CEO, NationWide.

The health assembly was organized as a forum for government officials, consumers and the healthcare professionals to debate and discuss required improvements in the current primary healthcare initiatives. The forum also emphasised the need and importance of public-private partnerships in the community healthcare sector.

Inaugurating the Whitefield Health Assembly, honourable minister for Health & Family Welfare (Karnataka), Shri Aravind Limbavali said: “Primary healthcare plays a significant role in taking care of day-to-day ailments and chronic disease conditions. It is aimed at early detection of critical illnesses and preventing sickness. The Whitefield Health Assembly, a great initiative conceptualised by NationWide Family Doctors, has provided an important platform for citizens, policy makers and healthcare providers to unite and express their views on the changes required in our health system and its implementation.”
